We provide professional engineering services for projects built in, on, or using soil and rock materials. Typical projects are tunnels, caverns and foundations. We routinely assist our clients with all phases of the project life cycle, from conceptualization through maintenance and rehabilitation.

For design-bid-build project delivery, we conceptualize, conduct site investigations, design, assist with contractor selection, and provide construction engineering services. Because we also specialize in the design of inhabited underground space, we frequently take the same role for underground projects that architects do for above-ground projects, the role of project leader and coordinator. We frequently team with other firms to provide mechanical, electrical, fire protection, fire/life safety, outfitting and similar design services.
